Become a Walk Champ for
Breast Cancer Campaign

Breast Cancer Campaign has set up a new website to help people organise walks for friends and family to take part in, while raising money to fund research into breast cancer.

For those of us who want to do something to stretch our legs, but don?t fancy a 26.2 mile marathon, a Friendship Walk is the perfect answer and www.friendshipwalks.co.uk offers all the tips and resources you need to get started.

Friendship Walks can be of any distance and take place anywhere, at anytime.

Whether it?s a favourite walk to share with friends or an extra incentive to get healthy, becoming a Walk Champ is a rewarding experience according to Cheryl Stakol who set up a 5 mile walk nine years ago and has seen it grow to over 200 participants, raising a total of over ?160,000.

?I encourage anyone who thinks about ?doing something? for Campaign to consider organizing a Friendship Walk. There is no written formula ? it?s what suits you and your aim ? which is to hold a walk and raise funds,? says Cheryl.

?Breast Cancer Campaign encourages everyone to lead a healthy lifestyle, exercise regularly and maintain a normal weight through eating a balanced diet,? explains Samantha Campbell, Senior Events Manager at Campaign. ?Friendship Walks are a fun way to enjoy exercise with friends and at the same time help us continue researching the cure.?
