VALRAS PLAGE (near

Set
in the beautiful wine region of Languedoc Rousillion is the beautiful
fishing village of Valras Plage.
With it's 4 km of fine sandy beach and Mediterranean coast line, this
charming seaside resort boasts wonderful fish markets, traditional
restaurants and an open air theatre.

studio flat - with balcony - is
situated in Residence du Port - arrowed on left!. It is ideal
for two adults-(plus has the added bonus of bunks for one or two
small children).
The superb sandy beach is 100
yards to the left and the marina is in front of the building. |

There is
a long sea-front boulevard with lots of pavement cafes and tables
under colourful sun parasols. Relax and unwind, this is a quiet
resort out of season becoming lively and lots of fun (free open-air
theatre) in the French holiday season which is July and August. Street
markets, Wine producers outlets (you won?t believe the low prices!), all
shops and services. Indoor fish market daily and fascinating
outdoor weekly street market. Inland are quaint villages nestling
in valleys with sparkling streams- take a picnic. |

Narbonne for Roman
remains, Fishing port of Sete with water jousting and superb fish
restaurants. Beziers old town for shopping, Canal du Midi. Further
afield is ancient fortified Carcassonne where?Robin Hood Prince of
Thieves? was filmed. Nature reserve in Valras usually lots of Flamingoes.
The apartment is
new, smart and very clean, tiled floors throughout and decorated
