If only things could be better

Remember how life used to be

Standards were good and morals high

And now it seems ~ our lives are a lie

Who do we put our trust in ?

To guide us on our way

To live the life that we should live

And not just pay and pray

The promises we've been given

Have been broken ~ more than once

To think with our experience

Are we taken for a 'dunce'

That life can be better

I know can be true

A little trust is what we need

For me and yes for you

Then we could make this world of our's

A better place ~ for all

If we could work together

Let's start ~ to overhaul.
