The cottage is in a partly-pedestrianised street within the town,
everything is within a short stroll (Banks, supermarket, boulangeries,
restaurants and bars) you don?t have to drive everywhere.
Large farmhouse
dining table at this end of living room. Wrought iron stairway leads to
kitchen with breakfast bar, two bedrooms and large shower room. Up again
to enclosed roof terrace. There is a TV to video system
with approx 70 tapes to watch of all varieties, music centre, 300
books chess set etc.
Duras has all shops and three good restaurants,
a large chateau and has farmers market each Monday in the streets. The
area around is rolling hills with farms nestling in lush valleys, lots
of vineyards (world-renowned wines) fields of sunflowers and quaint
villages where you can find restaurants tucked away and serving the most
delicious food.
Duras has a village square with two pavement cafes one
is in the sun in the mornings, the other in the sun in the afternoons?.aaah!
The town is
medieval with ancient tower and ramparts and the chateau holds wine
fetes from time to time where you buy a glass on entry, with the Duras
emblem and you go from stall to stall sampling and buy when you come
across something really special!
